Corrugated side-wall belt conveyor
Advantage of PK corrugated side wall belt conveyor
The customer always meet following problem: customer adopt one belt conveyor to transport material from one point to another point, but there are height difference between the two point sometime, so the conveyor also need to lift the material to the another point throng a specific distance, but if the horizontal distance is too little and height difference is too large, the inclined slope angle will be large, when the slope angle is over 25 degrees, the normal belt conveyor will could not handle the bulk material any more because the material will slide down from the smooth belt surface because the angle of repose of material. So we need consider a special belt conveyor to solve the problem because the steeply inclined angle. So the corrugated wall side belt conveyor comes up.
1.Compare with normal belt conveyor, the corrugated side wall belt conveyor could convey material at a steeply inclined angle even vertical.
2.Compare with other chain conveyor, the corrugated could convey large size bulk material with a large capacity at a high speed.
Application of PK machinery corrugated side wall belt conveyor
In many industries, it is well known to use a pocket conveyor to transport loose bulk ore such as coal, stone, sand and some grain and chemical material, etc., when the material must be conveyed at a vertical or steep inclined direction. So it is widely using for coal, chemical industry, building materials, metallurgy, electric power, light industry grain, port, shipping, etc. Specific gravity of bulk materials is 0.5-2.5 t/m³ can be conveyed in the working environment where the temperature is during -15 degree to 140 degree.
Special belt
One type of pocket conveyor is a corrugated side wall type of rubber belting. This type of belt consists of a flat, reinforced rubber, base belt to which side walls constructed of corrugated shaped reinforced rubber are attached and between the two side walls, cross cleats are attached at regular intervals along the length of the belt to form troughs or pockets where the bulk material can be deposited.
Structure
The common method used to construct a steep angle or vertical conveyor of this type requires the corrugated side wall belt to be bent around a series of pulleys or deflection wheels When the belt must be bent in a direction that allows the bottom of the flat base belt to contact the pulley, a cylindrical-shaped pulley that extends across the full width of the base belt can be used; however, if the belt must be bent in the opposite direction, deflection wheels that contact the external surface of the base belt, only on the portion of the base belt that extends beyond the outside width of the side walls are used. The two deflection wheels are attached to a common shaft and the shaft is supported by bearings located outside each of the deflection wheels. The outside diameter of the deflection wheels must be large enough to allow the connection shaft to pass across the side walls that assist in forming the pockets that carry the bulk material. Therefore, in these prior art arrangements, the width of the flat base belt must be sufficiently wide to allow a portion of the base belt to extend laterally beyond the width of the two side walls.
Features
Big conveying capacity, it can reach 1000 cubic meters per hour and vertical lifting height can reach 150m.
When vertically conveying materials, the biggest materials granularity is 300 mm.
It can transit stably from level to incliation.
Low energy consumption, easy construction and convenient maintenance.
High adhesive tape strength and long life.
