It can be used for making biological and chemical pesticides with effects free from pollution, residues and secondary pollution. Nicotine sulfate is the most important intermediate in the production process of nicotine.
Its molecular formula is (C10H14N2) 2 • H2SO4, and its molecular weight is 422.55.
The industrial product is mostly an aqueous solution containing 40% nicotine (equivalent to 52% nicotine sulfate).
It is a light yellow or brownish red oily liquid. Its specific gravity is 1.18, and its PH value is 5.2. It can be used as a raw material for producing phosphoric acid nicotine, citric acid nicotine, other nicotine salts, and nicotine pesticides.
