Straw dryer features high drying intension, short drying time, low consumption, simple operation, high product quantity. Straw dryer applies to heat-sensitive materials of powder, sheet, granular shape, such as sawdust, husk, straw, stalk, forage, alfalfa, wood shaving, wood chips, etc.(diameter≤3mm, length≤5mm) Compared with rotary dryer, straw dryer takes smaller area, costs smaller and saves more energy.

Working principle of straw dryer

Wet materials move together with hot air at a high speed in the pipes, with a powerful fan drawing air. During this process, wet materials absorb heat and release moisture. In the end, moisture is separated from materials and vented with air. When the temperature of hot air is 180℃, straw dryer can reduce moisture from 35% to 10%. The temperature should not be less than 180℃ and the highest could reach 300℃. Hot air could be heated by coal, wood, steam or electricity.

Advantages of straw dryer

A.     Due to the high speed of hot air, materials are dispersed. This spreads the contact surface and accelerates the drying speed.

B.     Straw dryer completes the drying process in a short time about 5-7 seconds. It will not cause a bad effect to heat-sensitive materials.

C.    Due to the short drying time, relatively high temperature is available.

D.    Wide application, high capacity, simple structure, small floor space, low investment.
