Reno Mattressesare used for channel and other areas(such as bridge abutment and culvert locations) to prevent erosion of the banks or beds of the stream, river or foreshore.
A Reno Mattress can be identified by the double wall diaphragm at the bottom. 6m x 2m x 230mm x 2.0mm is the norm in PNG and this size is ex stock delivery from Lae other sizes 170, 300 and 500mm. Jumbo mattresses are also available on short delivery by request.Terramesh Units A gabion: Front with an integral mesh panel keyed into the back which allows high strength stabilization without using high mass stone fills. High walls with heavy loading can be designed.The photograph below is a 13m Terramesh wall with a road on the top. It is built on a difficult site.
