wireless charger uses a technology called magnetic induction to transfer electrical energy from wall power sockets to phone devices. Electricity is carried along magnetic waves into the wireless charger and then transmitted to phones through wireless charging pad. Instead of physically attaching directly into each unit with electrically conducting wires or plugs, static energy is sent through the air to power and charge up phones.
It has more than 60 members joined the Wireless Power Consortium Organization, which includes a lot of famous mobile phone manufacturer. such as: Nokia.LG,Samsung,HTC,Blackberry,Sony Ericsson and so on and they will start to launch lot of wirelees charging support mobile phones in the future.
Phones like Samsung Galaxy S4, LG NEXUS 4 ,Lumia 920 etc have already adopted qi tech by incoporating built- in inductive coilsinto their designs and this means they can be charged wirelessly. With the help of the wireless receiver card which severs as the function of inductive coils, Samsung Galaxy previous models like S3, Note II and N7100 also have the wireless charging function.
The charging pad comes with a LED indicator (as you can see in the below pictures) that will emit a green light when the Qi pad is pl ed in. It will also emit a beeping sound when you place the phone. A flickering blue light tells you it's charging. Whenever the red light is indicating, that means the set-up or the connection with your phone is not sucsssful and then you need to adjust and place the phone properly.
