The integrated circuit high frequency ballasts emittes high-frequency radio waves energy and through electromagnetic induction measures, the energy is coupled into an inert gas discharge lamp with special amalgam by a coil wound ring sets outside the tube. Due to frequency reaching to 230KHz, the movement of electrons inside the tube makes the amalgam molecule ionization and excitation to produce 253.7nm ultraviolet photons, these photons striking the rare earth phosphor coated on the inner wall of the bulb will produce visible radiation.
