CLEAN LDPE 

CLEAN LDPE is a purge compound containing a high level of abrasive mineral additives and organic additives based on LDPE. * 

This product is used to reduce cleaning times with PE in film extrusion, cables and moulding. 

The compound remains relatively fluid and can be itself easily removed from the extruder or the injection machinery after purging.

CLEAN LDPE contains abrasive and surfactant agents that clean mechanically and chemically the extruder from degraded PE and pigments from both the extruder and the die. 

CLEAN LDPE is a filmable resin that will allow a continuous extrusion while purging. It contains no toxic, volatile, or corrosive additives. 

USAGE 

The use of CLEAN LDPE just before dismantling the equipment will reduce the cleaning time by more than 50%. 
CLEAN LDPE allows as well to reduce significantly the amount of scrap generated when changing materials or 
colours. 

We advise first to blend 50% of CLEAN LDPE together with the base resin of the last formulation and to reduce the temperatures and the speed of the screw. 

Secondly, use 100% of CLEAN LDPE at 160° while continuing to reduce temperatures. 

At 140°, purge for 10-20 minutes while increasing and reducing the screw speed in order to better clean the machine. 

Finally, switch off the extruder or increase the temperatures to extrude the new material. 

For start-up operations, purge the extruder at high and slow screw speeds for about 10 to 20 minutes with 100% of CLEAN LDPE and at 140. 

CLEAN LDPE is only effective when used at low temperatures (100-180°). 

PACKAGING 

The product is packed in 25 kg PE bags on 1375 kg shrink-wrapped pallets.
