SPARKEYE 2012 EXPLOSIVE DRUG DETECTOR
Ⅰ、Operating principle
SPARKEYE2012 is an explosive detector based on fluorescence technique. The fluorescence intensity and the peak position will change when the explosive molecule contacts with fluorescent material.This kind of change is recorded by the high sensitive detector inside the machine,and then this information will be used to analysis if there’s explosives.

With exterior heating head, wipe mode operation:
1、Press the red button on the panel to start the machine, and the screen is shown in Figure 2 during the start of the machine.The upper bar will display some of the state of the machine settings, including test serial number, time, switch indication of vibration mode, switch indication of alarm sound , battery power indication and so on.During the entire boot process,the upper left corner of the screen will display busy icon. As shown in Figure4, there are 4 type of icons in the upper left corner of screen.If everything is OK, the machine will prompt “Boot ready” after the self-test process.

2、Press OK key, the machine screen display "preparing for test" and the icon on the upper left corner display “ busy”, the machine is doing baseline correction for test.
After the baseline correction is complete, the screen prompts "please inset the sample", the upper left corner display OK icon.
3、As shown in Figure 1, insert the swipes into the sample slut in the exterior heating head.
4、The machine automatically detects the swipe insertion and then the heating plate is clamped, the screen prompts "detecting...," the upper left corner is busy icon.
5、The marking of "detected suspicious objects" will be shown in red tips on screen If explosives is detected, meanwhile, according to the “alarm setting”the buzzer and the vibrator will alert the user. The warning sign will shown in the upper left corner of screen
6、Users should remove the swipe as soon as the machine gives out alert. Then a push on the OK button will start the cleaning process. After this the screen will prompt"ready", the user can start a new detection from step 2.
7、If there is no explosive detected, the screen will prompt “no suspicious objects” in a green background; Then press the OK button, device will return to the second step to start a new detection.

As shown in Figure 4, the external heating head is removable, the machine is be in the inhale detection mode after it removed.
1、 Booting process will be the same as the exterior heating head. Press the OK button while starting up, the device is going to show "prepared to detect”. After the preparation is complete, the screen prompts "please put the sample into the suction port", the upper left corner of the display refresh to “Ready” logo.
2、 The measured object is placed into the suction head, suction head position show as Figure 4
3、 If the explosive is detected, the user should remove the sample from the suction head as soon as possible.
Ⅴ、The operating instructions of replace detection glass tube
When the machine detected the glass tube that can not continuously to use, the user will be prompted to replace the glass tube.

As shown in Fig.5, the upper left corner of the lightning logo prompts the user needs to be involved in the operation, the screen prompts that the operator need to replace the glass tube.At this time, the user should be on the left corner as shown in Fig. 4, Unscrew the two screws, pull out the glass tube, Replace a new detection glass tube.Pressing the OK button after the operation is completed, the device will prompt to be at " Baseline Stability Process".The new glass tube can start to work properly after the replacement of the completion.Operation can be in case of switch on/off to replace the glass tube, it does not affect the detection of use.
In addition, the user can carry out the glass tube replacement operation at any time.
The device need to wait about three minutes after replacing the glass tube, and in every thirty seconds by pressing the OK button and the RETURN button one times, after which you can use to detect operation normally.
Ⅵ、checkout
It is the best way to test whether the glass tube is still effective, only if the pumping mode is supported.
1、 After the normal boot without external heating head, when the screen prompts to start, press the left button.
2、 Screen display "ready to check", after the completion of the screen prompts the user will be measured items placed suction head position.
3、 In accordance with the screen prompts, pressing the OK button, the screen prompt "checking...", if passed, the glass tube is proved to be continuously effective. If checking failure, screen as shown in Figure 5 prompt the user to replace the glass tube.
Ⅶ、Replace battery, charge
The upper right corner of the screen battery icon shows the battery power. When the battery is low, the battery should be replaced in a timely manner or charge.
Replace the battery as shown in Figure 4: loosen the screws, remove the battery cover, and replace the new battery.。Device can also be charged directly through the power adapter, as shown in Figure 4.The two indicator light of charging interface indicate the state of charging. The red light indicates ”charging”, the green light indicates that the charge is finished.
Ⅷ、Menu settings
When the screen displayed “Ready”, click the right button to enter the settings menu.In general, users do not need to enter settings menu, the device can operate directly.
As shown in Figure 6, in addition to the most left return item, Menu contains a total of 5 sets of content, respectively: Time,Language, Parameter setting, Alarm setting, status information, computer connection.

Click OK button to enter the menu settings, around key to select the operation, click OK button to enter each setting. After entering each setting, click the left and right keys to change the number or options.

Auto sleeping time: when the device is detected for a period of time without any operation will enter the sleep mode. This setting set without the operation time.
Baseline stabilization time: after the replacement of the new glass tube, the device needs to wait for calibration in order to achieve the best sensitivity.Waiting time is affected by external temperature changes, generally set to 3 minutes.
Detection time: the time required for the device to be detected. The shortest time can be set to 5 seconds, the longest time can be set to 20 seconds. Under normal circumstances, the device can achieve the best sensitivity through setting to 10 seconds,
Remove the memory card data: remove all the test data recorded by this option, and set the parameters return to factory settings.
3、Alarm setting

Three options are respectively arranged in the detection of explosives, the buzzer is singing, the vibrator whether vibration. The interface is in red alarm display. Of which the first two selection in the machine interface in the upper right corner of the display.

State information has two pages, the first page display temperature of different channels of the machine, this page can be observed whether the machine to achieve thermal stability status. Channel 1 and 2 should be at around 150Degree Celsius, channels 3 and 4 should be around 70Degree Celsius. If more than setting value 10 degree Celsius above, It indicates that the temperature is not stable. If the device is still unable to achieve stability in a longer period of time, it indicates that the machine temperature control failure.
The second page shows the pump state. Users can set mandatory pump open. At this time, the flow will display inside the machine pump real-time traffic. This is used to detect the working status of pump. It can also be artificially blocked suction mouth, open the pump to detect gas path seal state. If no leakage of gas path, the flow will be reduced to about 0degree Celsius.
5、Computer connection

Computer connections menu page display machine model, serial number and software version. Specially, the data connection item allows the user to select whether to transfer data of the machine to the computer. Tick the item and open the corresponding PC software as to let the machine move history test results upload to computer.
Ⅸ、Operational attention
1、Wipe essentials:

As shown in Figure 12. Between the two black lines shown below is the best measuring position, so wipe should be as shown in Figure 13, away from the fingertips wiping paper edge 1 cm about, firmly press wipe suspicious areas, please note, wipe force is very important, lightweight easy wiping caused by omission. 2、Alarm sources should be separated as soon as possible when the machine alarming. In the way to wipe, the test paper should be taken out from the sample slot as soon as quickly so as to avoid machine in the cleaning process inhaling of a large number of pollutants. In the suction mode, the machine and the tested material should be separated immediately.
3、Avoid wiping the wet surface, oil viscosity of non solid surface.If it needs to test the wet surface, it should be observed that there is no visible water droplets on the wiper blade.If there is a water droplet, please flick the backside of the test paper and let the water droplet fallen off.This does not affect the detection performance, but it is easy to cause the detection of glass tube failure.Test oily surface in addition to easily cause the detection of the failure of the glass tube, but also easily to cause pollution, it is necessary to clean the external heating plate and the tube according to the pollution situation.
4、When the pumping mode is adopted, the suction head is avoided to contact the skin directly, which is easy to cause the scald.
5、 Before the operation, if there is no guarantee that the operator is free of pollution, please test the operator's hands to avoid misinformation.
6、If the device is under no threat alarm, please first with anhydrous alcohol cotton ball cleaning external heating head. Waiting for alcohol to dry after the test, if the alarm continues, it need to replace the glass test tube.
7、When the alarm happened, if the time is very short from the wipe paper insertion to the alarm, it means that the number of detected explosives is relatively large.If a longer time lasted, it is indicated that the detection of relatively small amount of explosive elements.At this point detector should pay attention to whether the sample insertion location has a large dose of explosive polluted.If the test port is contaminated, then the next wipe paper insertion process, when encountered contamination of the insertion port will cause the error alarm.Simple detection method is in a fast positive after the alarm, with a blank test paper test once.Detection can be deliberately and Figure 12 easily contaminated so as to judge whether there is a misinformation provided.If misinformation, testing can be more than a few times to fall off the pollutants. Or directly with alcohol cotton to wipe insert port and to wait for alcohol to evaporate so that the device can use normally .

8、If the device appears several times to prepare for the test process, it is said that detecting glass tube has been in an unstable state, it is recommended to replace it.
9、If the battery power is low, the device's start time will be relatively long, it is recommended to replace the battery at this time or with the adapter power supply.Power consumption is the biggest in the booting process, the fastest start time is full power or plug in the adapter.
