When using the anode carbon block a period of time, as anode consumed gradually, it has become very thin (about 13~18cm). In order to prevent the anode steel claw to be melt, it must be replaced new anode carbon block group.Anode scrap is the residual part of pre-baked anode carbon block. Reacting with electrolyte over a long period of time, anode scrap has high element of electrolyte, including aluminum, sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, lithium, fluorine ect.

Anode scrape has high in calorific value and low in moisture. After being cleaned, anode scrap can be reused in the process of producing anode material. Anode scrap can be divided into different sizes and used as a kind of aggregate in the process of producing anode block or anode paste. It can also be used as the smelting fuel.
