Solubility: insoluble in wait and acid. Only 0.0024g/100g in water ,   soluble in concentrated sulfuric 
acid but water ,   alcohol , thin acid. Becomes lump when it is dried . No poison of industry precipitated barium sulfate itself  ,   but maybe it is toxic of soluble Barium. 

Use: widely used as filled object for paint, printing ink, rubber, plastic and insulating tape. Also used in industries of palette, china, storage battery, porcelain enamel, glass and spice etc.
