Double sphere reinforced flexible rubber expansion joint

Constructed of neoprene* and nylon (other materials are available see charts below), the spherical shape allows pressure to exert itself uniformly in all directions, thus reducing the force exerted on pipe lines and equipment. Bias-ply tire cord provides strength, a high safety factor, and low force to move. Precision molding provides a dense, uniform carcass.

Production progress

1. Raw material: we never use reclaimed raw rubber, rubber is imported from USA. Before used, raw material should be tested, including physical test and some chemical experiment to test the hardness and so on;

2. Rubber pretreating and ingredients;

3. Milling: first, rubber plastication, second, rubber mixing, we will add rubber compounds, like sulfurzing reagent, surfactant, softener, stabilizer, foaming agent and some special compounds, at the same time, rubber will be extruded into plates, cut, produce 45 degree angle. The plates cannot directly be used, they should be cooled about 24 hours;

4. Molding: it will cost much time;

5. Vulcanizing: the largest vulcanizing tank in Asia ø5000*15000, right time, temperature, pressure is very important;

6.Test and experiment: these tests should be done, hydraulic test, resistance to vacuum, displacement of the performance, rubber physical properties, thickness and the strength and other quality test;

7. Package: out package the free of fumigation wooden case; inside package: plastic film and textile membrane.

Double sphere reinforced flexible rubber expansion joint installation direction:

1. During pipe construction, the rubber expansion joint shall be kept natural, do not deform the product purposely when installing.

2. During installing flange loosing rubber expansion joint, the enhancing ring (jutted inner steel wire rope) of spherical two ends shall be completely installed inside the flange slot so as to prevent balls to break away from flanges when pipes bear pressure. During installing bolts, screw down symmetric six/four bolts and keep balls and flanges remaining in order.

3. When connecting rubber expansion joint and pipe flange, the bolt pole shall extend to the pipe flange so as to prevent from crushing or pricking the coved screw thread expanding because of pressure, all bolts shall be pressures and screwed down and word congruously. If the surrounding circumstance is bad, spring washer and flat gasket shall be added to prevent bolts from loosing.

4.If arch/high arc rubber couplings are adapted(for six-angle bolt cannot pass through flange hole),double-head bolts shall be used and try to reduce spherical screw thread jut and avoid crushing balls expanding under pressure and prevent early damage of rubber.

5. When frequently use the rubber expansion couplings or near water (oil) pump nozzles, stop block shall be added on both ends of flanges so as to reduce the impact on pump and pipe caused by the length changes of rubber joint.

6. When adapting over DN1000 rubber expansion coupling, some length short pipe shall be made on one flange end so as to help installation and reduce labor strength. After connecting rubber expansion couplings and the short pipe and other pipe, weld the short pipe and relevant pipe together.

7. In order to remove the radial deviation formed by short pipe welding, use round steel or other relevant metal to temporarily weld flanges on pipe’s two ends and make the rubber expansion joint and flange be a steel body. After welding, remove the welding again and keep the rubber joint natural as usual.

8. When welding metal and flange, remember to cover the rubber expansion couplings with shielding and prevent from burning balls.

Classification:
1) According to appearance: concentric with diameter rubber expansion joint, concentric reducer rubber expansion joint,eccentric reducer rubber expansion joint.
2) According to the structure: single ball rubber expansion joints, double sphere rubber joints, spheres rubber joints, elbow sphere rubber joints.

3) According to the link the form: flange rubber joints, union rubber joints.

Directions of use:

When rubber joint was used in high water, pipe must have fixed support or fixed bracket, or the product shouldbe installation device to prevent pulled off. The fore of fixed support or fixed bracket must be greater than the axial force.

According to different material, acid resistance rubber joint, alkali proof rubber couplings, oil resistance rubbercouplings, thermos table rubber couplings, low temperature resistance rubber joint, wear resistance rubber coupling can be made to suitable for various kinds of medium and environment.
