Standard (Unpolished Black, Unpolished Blue, Unpolished Straw) : Hardened and tempered natural colour without colouring process of which oxidised surface colour is decided on hardness required 
Unpolished Semi Bright : Hardened and tempered non-oxidised where semi bright surface is required on requested hardness 
Polished Bright : Polished after hardening and tempering 
Polished Blue : Colouring in blue after polishing

Round edges : Rounded after slitting Application Power springs 
Deburred edges : Edges removed at burrs from slitting Application Leaf springs 
Slit edges : Sharp edges with slitting burrs left on Application Washers 
Square edges : Squared after slitting Application Saws, Blades, Band saws

 

Hardened & Tempered Steel Strips

Hardened & tempered spring steel strips / coils are also commonly known as "H & T steel strips". Hardening and Tempering is a thermal process that strengthens steel strips through a controlled heating and cooling process. This process of hardening and tempering improves the mechanical properties of the steel strip and gives a tougher and more durable product. The hardening process involves heating the steel strip to above the critical transformation temperature for the given grade and then rapidly cooling. The problem here is that the steel strip in this condition is extremely brittle and therefore requires further treatment in the form of tempering. This consists of reheating the steel strip to a lower temperature and holding it at the given temperature for a given period of time. This process is done in an inert atmosphere to avoid oxidation. This type of steel strip has high degree of toughness and has excellent spring properties. This type of steel strip can be used for various applications like wood cutting saws, industrial knives, sheet metal components, automobile sector and springs. 
The steel strips / coils that are produced during the hardening & tempering process can be cold rolled hardened & tempered low carbon steel strips / coils or cold rolled hardened & tempered medium carbon steel strips / coils or cold rolled hardened & tempered high carbon steel strips / coils. We offer the following range in Hardened-Tempered Steel Strips.

Range
Width:	6 mm to 550 mm.
Thickness:	0.05 mm to 4 mm.
Hardness:	30 HRC Min to 58 HRC Max.
Surface Finish:	Bright polished, Blue, Brown & Grey.
Edges:	One or both side edge round, square & chamferd & sheared edge.

Form of supply: Materials are supplied in coil form. If any special I.D. & O.D. requirements are there, that can be maintained. Further, material can also be supplied in cut lengths, if required by the customer.

Applications: Flat springs for automobile clutches, masonary and agricultral tools, gang saw blades for marble cutting, doctor blades, band knives, drop pins for textile industries, wood working saws, carpentary tools, coil springs, flapper values, etc.

 

HARDENED & TEMPERED MEDIUM AND HIGH CARBON STRIP STEEL. 
Hardened & tempered carbon strip steel is produced with the following finishes: - 

(a) Scale-less Blue/Grey (b) Bright Tempered (c)Tempered Bright and Polished (d)Tempered, Polished and Coloured (Blue, Grey and Bronze) and the edges can be manufactured as per  ASTM A684, (SLIT / ROUNDED / SQUARED). 
  
    THICKNESS:      0.20 MM THROUGH 3.50 MM

     WIDTH:               20 MM THROUGH 380 MM  

     HARDNESS:        30 TO 52 HRC (DEPENDING ON GRADE)
