(1). Agricultural auxiliaries field: The functional mechanism of tea saponin was discussed including surface tension, contact angle and wettability, they showed tea saponin are suitable for agricultural industry application as a kind of natural surface active agent. The facts proved that tea saponin could be used as a wettable agent of wettable powder pesticide, could make such item as wettability, PH, suspension rate etc. reach or exceed the national standard. The suspending rate of wettable powder of pesticide can be up to 85 % to 90% and even over 95%. Tea saponin could be used as synergist, spreading in emulsion pesticide. It could be used in the soluble powder herbicides or liquid herbicides to improve the effectiveness, and better than similar products in abroad. It can reduce the dosage of pure herbicides. Tea saponin, as a biological pesticide, it could also be used as insecticide, fungicide, snarlcide, as a clean-pond agent, it can eliminate unwanted fish in the ponds for its haemolysis and accelerate growth of shrimp. It is difficult to prevent and kill underground injurious insect, but the specialized insecticide which mainly contains tea saponin, not only effectively kills cutworm, earthworm, nematode, etc., but also no pollution in soil.

(2). Daily chemical field: Tea saponin is a good detergent that can be made a shampoo with the characters of protecting hair, washing hair, diminishing in flammation and stopping itching. It makes hair bright and soft after washing. Tea saponin is one of the best natural nonionic surfactants, have the better function of emulsification, cleansing, dispersing and foam. When it is used as detergent for washing cloth, woolen sweater and fabric etc., it possesses not only cleansing ability, clean greasy dirt better than similar product abroad, but also make the cloth fadeless, fresh, bright and soft.

(3). Architectural field: Tea saponin can be added to foam concrete as foaming agent or foam stabilizer, because it has the effects of deleting lipid, promoting the suspension of aluminum powder, inhibiting degeneration of cement, and the stability of liquid stuff pouring, and improving the cellular structure and quality of products. It also used in highway as a prevent frostbite agent, shrink water agent. For its good emulsification and disperse, it has been made paraffin wax emulsifier and used to manufacture of fiber board which obviously cats down the water absorption rate, increase the ability of preventing water and promotes its quality.

(4). Aquaculture breeding: Please allow us to introduce tea saponin to you. In fact, we have exported plenty of tea seeds meal to Southeast countries. The tea seeds meal is extensively used in aquaculture to eliminate unwanted fish and harmful insects in the fish and prawn ponds. Its mainly content is tea saponin. Now we have the tea saponin which is extracted from tea seeds meal, its activity content more than 60%. We have much study, and results showed that tea saponin had haemolysis to red blood cell but hadn’t haemolysis to white blood cell and prawn’s blood. The ichthyism activity to red blood cell expressed that tea saponin destroyed the membrane of the red blood cell then the cell isclusion was flowed out. The ichthyism activity of tea saponin expressed that tea saponin destroyed the epithelioid cell of fish gill then went into the gill and the hart, at the end, led the red blood cell to haemolysis, but tea saponin did not act on prawn. After determined the relationship of the haemolytic ratio and the time-dilution ratio curve with tea saponin concentration, the results showed that the haemolytic tatio was “S?type in shape. It meant that the haemolytic rate was not uniform. It was necessary for 30 µg purity tea saponin to haemolysis 1ml standard haemocyte suspension. The haemolytic index of tea saponin was 100000. Results also showed that the ichthyism activity of tea saponin increased with the increasing of the water salinity, indicating stronger ichthyism activity of tea saponin in sea water with higher salinity. The higher the water temperature was, the faster the tested fish died. Its safe dosage is 3 ppm in sea water, and 4 ppm to 5 ppm in fresh water. Because of its evident difference in toxicity to the harmful fish, prawn and clam worm and of its self-deactivity in the water, tea spaponin could be used as a safe and optimum agent to clear up the harmful fish in the prawn pond for the preparation of prawn breeding.
