Q : What does 1x - 52x mean.? I have some CD-R from another maked marked12x.
A : This is what I've been led to believe by the techie stuff I've read. The designation 1x - 52x tells you that the CD-R is compatible with any CD player or recorder that reads or records up to 52x speed. In other words if you have an old clunker that only records at 1x speed (I can't imagine one of those still being around) it will work with that recorder. Your 12x CD-R should work in your faster CD ROM but they will record at a slower speed than a 52x. Sometimes you may wish to record at a slower speed if you are having trouble getting a good recording at the higher speed. Your 1x - 52x CD-R allows you to do that by changing the setting of your recording software to a slower recording speed. Hope this helps. Maybe someone with more precise understanding of this can chime in too .
Q : My CD image has a lot of white in it. Will the silver make it look wrong/different where no ink is applied (like a white sky)?
A : I guess it would depend on the image. Silver isn't that different from white, and colors with the silver background always look vivid. I think you will be satisfied with the result.
Q : Are these hub printable?
A : Yes hey are if you have a printer that can print on them. I had HP printer that would print on them but went capute. Now have a Canon I use to print on dvds and cdrs.
