Application
Disposable pressure transducer is used to monitor real-time dynamic blood pressure and continue to transfer it to custody singal processing systems to obtain real-time ambulatory blood pressure of this physiological parameter for clinical disease diagnosis,treatment and prognosis on an objective basis.
Procedure
1.Ensure that the cable is compatible with the monitor being used. Connect the
reusable cable to the monitor, and turn the monitor on to allow the electronics
to warm up.
2. Using aseptic technique, remove the transducer and kit from the sterile
packaging.
3. Ensure that all connections are secure.
4. Flush the circuit with the heparinized IV flush solution and remove all air as per hospital policy.
5. When the whole circuit is filled with heparinized solution, secure the system set at the operating bed or other corresponding position. (Note: the pressure inducing chip should be at the same level of the midaxillary line of the patient.) Close the stopcock to the patient.
6. When puncture leads the indewelling needle the artery or central vein, connect the indwelling needle to the end to the patient.
7. Adjust the monitor to read zero mmHg as per the monitor operation mannual.
8. Open the stopcock and watch on the monitor the pressure wave patterns.
