Features of tube ice machine

Tube ice is a kind of hollow cylindrical tubular ice, whose inner hole diameter of 5~15mm,ranging from 40~60mm long. Its external diameter can be divided into three specifications :φ22mm,φ29mm and φ35mm.
Tube ice has good air permeability for its hollow tubular shape. It is more suitable for storage and transportation because the melting time of the tube ice is longer than the flake ice.
The part in contact with the ice is totally made from food grade stainless steel and PP materials, which is environmentally friendly and sanitary, completely conforming to the food standard.
This transparent tube ice is widely used to mix wines, freeze drinks, make ice pastries and keep fresh etc. in foreign countries.

The core component of the tube ice machine is the ice-making evaporator and its main body is a vertical shell and tube type device. Several stainless steel heat exchange tubes run through the upper tube plate and the lower tube plate and each of the top and bottom has a water tank. Refrigerant is evaporated in the main body during the ice making process, absorbing heat from water of the upper tank flowing along the inside wall of heat exchange tubes. Water is frozen into ice attached to the inside wall of the steel pipes. When the ice reaches the desired thickness, refrigeration system will change into doffing ice mode automatically to doff ice. Simultaneously high temperature gas refrigerant will be supplied into the evaporator shell, promoting the formation of a layer of water film between ice and evaporation wall. Thus ice inside the tube wall will fall by gravity, and simultaneously will be cut off by the rotating ice cutter below, discharged along the ice outlet. When ice making is finished, low temperature refrigerant will carry on heat exchange again, which recycles the energy of ice doffing and improves the cooling performance of units.
