TECCO mesh is steel wire mesh grille, which is made of high strength spring steel wire by welding into steel grille net with special welding technology.
Because of its material tensile strength can be more than 1470 MPa, far more than 320MPa, the tensile strength of ordinary steel. Practice has proved that 3 mm high strength wire mesh can be used instead of 8-12 mm ordinary steel fabric. Such Brook Mesh has a wide range of applications in filed like bridge deck pavement, concrete pavement, toll plaza, bridge pier surface crack, bridge cushion cap and so on.
In the using progress, the main problem is to pay great attention to these details primarily when TECCO is used to do reinforcement design. This new type of geotextile material can play an effectively practical role when considering its reliability and economy, choosing the suitable reinforcement material of Brook Mesh type for the actual work site. In piled embankment, the TECCO network, (no rust-proof coating layer) with high strength, soft than the Ø 8-10 ordinary reinforced, can replace the normal steel bar. Pile can be laid above the steel grille. Connected the wire mesh inside pipe pile and Brooke Mesh above the pile into a whole, so as to make the integral reinforcement effect better.
In order to transfer load more effectively, ribs of the steel wire mesh grille should be perpendicular to each other. If not, it will reduce the load transfer effect, and deteriorating the reinforcement effect. This differs from Tecco Mesh (such as weaving, composite welding). The node of Pseudo Brooke Mesh is textile or compound welding, so the integrity is poor and the force transmission to vertical and horizontal is very bad.
The steel wire mesh grille operating requirements: the node contact must be in good entirety. The node contact strength should be close to the rib strength (not fractured in contact node when tensile fracture) or both strength differs less so as to match with each other. It is the most reasonable and economical. Otherwise, the overall contact intensity strength of Brooke is much lower than the steel rib strength, which cannot safely exert the tensile ability of high strength rib, leading to the structural consequence of TECCO network is unnecessary waste.
