The X6818 development board consists of the stamp hole core board, base plate and
LCD panel. The core board is designed using the 8-layer plate process to ensure stability
and reliability, and can be used in a lot fields such as tablet PC, car engine, learning
machine, POS machine, game machine and industry monitoring in batches. The product
is the sister version of x4418 development board. Its CPU is upgraded from the original
S5P4418 to S5P6818, ARM core is ungraded from the A9 quad-core to A53 eight-core,
and the maximum dominant frequency is 1.4 GHz. The base plate reserves abundant
peripherals and can demonstrate almost all the functions of 6818 chip. It takes the lead to
support the Gigabit Ethernet, onboard LVDS interface, MIPI interface, PCIE interface, etc.
Meanwhile, the hardware circuit keeps the customary style of 9tripod development board
and supports power-on/off operation through software, sleep wakeup, etc. The 7-inch TFT
LCD is adopted by default and supports RGB, and any MIPI interface can be selected.
Moreover, the 4.3-inch and 5-inch LCDs are optional, and stepless regulation is supported
for backlight brightness. The X6818 development board reserves an infrared integrated
receiving head. Plus the free TV play software such as TogicVideo, it is a quad-core TV
set top box with excellent performance and can completely replace the cable TV at home
and the set top box bought from the market.
The X6818CV3 core board applies to a lot of fields including industrial control, electric
power, communication, medical treatment, media, security protection, vehicle, finance,
consumer electronics, handheld devices, game machines, display control and teaching
instruments. It is seamlessly compatible with the X4418CV3 core board downward and
has the same pin definition, widely applicable to the POS, game machine, teaching
experiment platform, multimedia terminal, PDA, ordering machine, advertising machine
and other fields.
As early as in 2012, Samsung became popular around the world by relying on the
Exynos4412 chip and became known to every household because of mobile phones such
as Galaxy3 and Galaxy Note2, which is the achievement of 4412. Now in 2015, S5P4418
and S5P6818 will yield unusually brilliant results in the tablet PC and industrial control
