Suction Blaster works on induction-suction principle of abrasive delivery. The Suction Blaster ensures continuous work and no interruption in the blasting cycle. The suction machine, also known as a siphon, is most commonly used for light production and general-purpose cleanup. In this type of unit, air passes through the gun, creating a siphon action that sucks up abrasive and delivers it to the nozzle where it is propelled out to the target.
In Suction Blaster Machines media stored at the bottom of the cabinet hopper is drawn by the cyclone dust collector by the suction draft produced by the exhaust blower. In Cyclone dust collector when media enters the cylindrical/conical body of the dust collector tangentially at the top and flow assumes a vortex pattern as it travels helically downwards. Centrifugal force from the air’s velocity causes the usable media to move radically outward toward the wall of the dust collector. When the particles reach the wall, friction and gravity force them to descend and this separated abrasive passed to screen, where coarse particles and debris are separated. The usable abrasive gets stored in abrasive storage tank. The dust will be passed to filter bag of the exhaust system.
The media generally used in the suction blaster is of very light weight. From the abrasive storage tank the abrasive will be distributed to the blast gun without stopping the blasting. In this type of machines a cabinet type enclosure is provided, so that blasting operation must be conducted inside this enclosure and it will remain isolated to minimize worker exposure to air contaminants generated by the process.
