1. Description of life casting silicone rubber
XB-820 life casting silicone rubber is addition cure silicone rubber for silicone products. The silicone rubber will be cured under room temperature and can be cured fastly by heating. It's two components liquid silicone rubber, the mixing ratio is 1:1. It has an exceptional fluidity and good operability. Especially, the platinum cure silicone rubber has a lower shrinkage, higher temperature resistance and it is medical grade.
XB-820 life casting silicone rubber is extremely soft and the viscosity is very lower.

4. Operating instructions of life casting silicone rubber
Step 1: Prepare and clean the prototype.
You must make sure your original molds perfect, fix the original mold on a board, then using some assistant material (like cardboard) to make a frame for to surround the prototype. The frame is no need, if we make the mold by brushing way.
Step 2: Take the silicone and catalyst as the ratio 1:1 (silicone : catalyst= 1:1), mix the silicone rubber and catalyst evenly.
Notes: rtv silicone rubber is a kind of flowing liquid and it contains two parts. Part A is a kind of flowing liquid and part B is the curing agent. Remember to mix part A and part B evenly, otherwise the silicone rubber will be partly solidified and this will bring troubles for your final operation. What's more, the finishes molds will have a short life. All of these will cause a waste of silicone rubber.
Step 3: Vacuum pumping.
After mixed the silicone evenly, it is better to release the bubble by vacuum pumping.
Step 4: Pouring cast or brushing cast.
After released the bubble, we can pour/brush the silicone rubber on the prototype.
Notes: Please finishes all the steps within the operation time. If not, it will cause cross linking reaction, and no more further steps will be available. So, we have to pay attention to the pot life and curing time.

6.Notice of platinum cure silicone rubber.
XB-820 life casting silicone is platinum cure silicone, which is very easy to cause cure inhibition. so please do remember thoroughly clean the model and tool before operation. Besides, please avoid the tin cure silicone rubber (100:3) contact or mix with the following material, otherwise the silicone won't be cured:
1. Liquid tin cure silicone (tin cure silicone not completely cured or organic tin compounds)
2. Sulphur, sulfide and sulfur rubber materials.
3. Amine compounds as well as contains the amine materials.
4. Pewter solder flux.

7. Package and shelf life of life casting silicone rubber for mold making

Shelf life and transportation
1. Twelve(12) months when stored at 25C in tightly closed original packages.
2. This kind of product is non-dangerous product, which could be transported as general chemicals.
8.Storage and notice of high grade liquid silicone rubber for mold making
1,Food grade silicone rubber is sensitive chemical product ,it need to be stored by sealing in shady and cool place, avoid heavy sunshine.
2,Dont use the food grade silicone rubber with some condensation silicone material, and dont combine the silicone rubber with some chemicals which contain N,P,S; or it may cause the silicone rubber dont cure, or not cured fully.
