Our garlic purees originate from Chile specifically Chiloé Island, a green and unspoiled island at the gateway to Patagonia in the South Pacific, famous for its folk legends and beautiful scenery.
 
They are made with the giant Chiloé Elephant Garlic, the southernmost garlic in the world. Dwarfing normal garlic in size, Chiloé elephant garlic has a potent flavor but is not as overbearing as normal garlic.
 
Kosher accepted our purees as natural products, grown the way they should be by harnessing the rich natural purity of Chiloé earth, air and water. The garlic is hand planted by local farmers and only organic, chemical free fertilizers such as local seaweed are used to nourish growth. Chiloé is an oxfam fairtrade accepted product.
 
Chilote elephant garlic (Alium ampeloprasum) has beneficial health properties. It has been used down th centuries as a traditional remedy to help control high blood pressure and cardiovascular diseases, as helping alleviate bronchitis and colds as well. It is also known for its aphrodisiacal properties.

Our elephant garlic paste is distinctive, intense flavors are excellent for preparing a wide range of hot and cold appetizers and entrees. The line consist of five flavors each with its own unique taste:
