Description of Additional cure liquid silicone rubber for mold making

Additional cure liquid silicone rubber is generally named two-components silicone rubber, Part A and part B. It features an exceptional fluidity and good operability. The mixing ratio is 1:1 mainly be suitable for making molds application.

Applications of Additional cure liquid silicone rubber for mold making 

Addition cure liquid silicone rubber could be mainly used for making concrete stones, precision molds, PU molds, resin molds, gypsum casting, candle molding,for life casting, fabric finishing, seal for electronic components and solar circuit board, trademark decoration. etc.

Different hardness of silicone rubber suitable for different types of products

We can provide liquid additional cure silicone rubber with different hardness.

1. For small size and dttailed pattern(within 30cm), 15-20 shore A can be applied, which is easy for de-molding and will not damage the patterns.

2.For the products with medium size, such as 50cm, 25-30 shore A silicone rubber should be used.

3.For products with large size, such as 1m, 35-40 shore A shall be recommend to avoid deformation.

4.If the product is large but features detailed pattern, 30 shore A silicone rubber will be workable.(It will be better to protect the products from deformation to make outer mold.)

Note: All the above products hardness should be adjusted according to customers' requirements.

Operate Instruction

Operation instructions of Additional cure liquid silicone rubber for mold making:

1. Stir part A and part B with right mixing ratio (1:1 or 10:1) evenly. And get the mixture for vacuum-pumping. (If there is no vacuumizer, you can just pour the mixture slowly from the corner so that less bubbles caused)

2. Enclose the product (the original model) with four plastic plates or wooden plates.

3. Clean your products and brush a layer of release agent(detergent or soap water) on your product.

4. Pour the mixture with correct mixing ratio into the model frame.

After about 2-4 hours, when the silicone cured, get out the original model, and there you get a finished addition cured silicone mold .
