The Half mirror, we called one-way mirror, one-way can see mirror glass as well, which is one of the high reflective special glass to visible light. While using on partition the mirror surface will be installed outside. When the outdoor lightness is lighter than indoor, we can't see through indoor, but the outdoor scenery can be seen clearly. 
On the other hand, if the outdoor lightness is darker than indoor, almost both of way is clear to be seen. In summary, the effect of half mirror is depend on the lightness.
