GS-P16 condensation cure liquid silicone rubber for pad printing
1.Description of silicone rubber for pad printing
GS-P16 Silicone rubber is tin cure silicone rubber for mold making. GS-P16 is liquid rtv mold making silicone rubber with 16 shore A hardness. The silicone rubber will be cured under room temperature, It’s two-components, the mixing ratio is 100:2 . Part A is a flowable liquid silicone , part B is the catalyst. It has an excellent resistance against wear, good printing effect, high temperature resistance.
2.Character of silicone rubber for pad printing
The silicone printing pad mad which is made from GS-P16 is a kind of soft pad
The product is mainly applicable to electroplating products, electronic toys, trademarks and irregular pattern printing. The silicone pad is a perfect carrier which transfer printing the patterns on the steel plate onto you own products' surface. No matter what shape of the objects' surface is, including cylindrical, spherical, compound angles, concave, convex, textures, and so on. Compared with our other products with different model number, the GS-P15 is characterized by soft hardness, which is only around 15 A°.
3.Operation of silicone rubber for pad printing
Step 1: prepare the original silicone pad molds
Make sure your original molds smooth and Clear .
Step2: Mix part of A liquid silicone and silicone oil
Usually the original hardness of the silicone pad is around 15 shore A , our customer will add silicone oil by adjust the hardness , when adding 2% silicone oil , the hardness will reduce 1 shore A , for example our silicone is 15 shore A , if you require hardness of 13 shore A for printing , then add 4% silicone oil .The percentage of silicone oil added should not more than 30% . Adding silicone oil into the liquid silicone and mix it evenly
Step3:Add 1 part of B catalyst into the mixture of liquid silicone with silicone oil and mix them evenly.
*Notes: After the Step 2 by adding and mix the silicone oil evenly ,add 10G catalyst into the mixture (10% is the weight for the totally mixture of liquid silicone and silicone oil ) and mix them evenly .
1.Weigh the exactly weight by electronic weight..
If not , for example add two much catalyst , the operation time will be too fast to operate ,which will cause inconvenience to operate .
2.Mixture should stir evenly.
Otherwise the silicon rubber will be partly solidified and this will give birth to difficulties in your final operation. What’s more, the finished molds will meet a short life. All of these will cause a waste of silicon rubber.
Step4: Vacuum pumping
Without exception, this step takes less than 10 minutes. Otherwise, it will cause cross linking reaction, and no more further steps will be available.
Step 5: Pouring the mixture into the original mold
*Notes:1. Put an wooden board on the surface of the silicone pad and set an hole on the board to make sure the board will closely stick on the pad .
2.Wait till the silicone pad totally cured before put into production.
4.The factors that make the printing effect appear vague or incomplete:
1. The pad printing pads may be too hard to pick full patterns from the steel plate substrate(we can imagine the picking process in our mind). As a result, if you need to transfer the complecate and delicate from the substrate to your own products' surface, just make the hardness small, namely, soft printing head.
2. Perhaps too much water is contained in the printing ink, resulting in bad effect of spots. We s est that you should wash your ink container, and change the old printing ink and buy a new one.
5.Package of Pad printing silicone rubber
20KG/drum or 25KG/drum or 200KG/drum for part A +1kg/ bottle catalyst for part B
6.Shelflife of pad printing silicone rubber
Tweleve (12) months when stored under dry and cool place by original package under 25℃.
