Physical and chemical properties: white amorphous flowable powder. Easy to react with oxygen, in case of moisture or water decomposition into methanol and sodium hydroxide, decomposition in the air above 126 C.. Dissolve in methanol and ethanol. Insoluble in benzene and toluene.

Product application: mainly used in the production of vitamin a1, vitamin B1, long-acting sulfonamides, sulfadiazine, trimethoprim and other pharmaceutical industries, but also used in the biodiesel industry. Can also be used as an edible catalyst, an analysis reagent and a cosmetic.
