Descrition of Janteng Polydioxanone (PDO or PDS) suture
- Synthetic suture absorbable monofilament suture with violet color.
- P-dioxanone polymer.
- Offers minimum tissue reactivity.
- Absorption is made by hydrolytic slow progressive action completed in 200 days approximately.
- The original tensile resistance in vivo holds between 65 and 70% in four weeks and 50 and 60% after 6th week.
- Color Code: Silver and black label.
- Frequently used in tissue coaptation that slowly heals.
