Lactobacillus acidophilus LA-G80

Strains introduction

Lactobacillus acidophilus is a homofermentative, microaerophilic species, fermenting sugars into lactic acid, and grows readily at rather low pH values (below pH 5.0) and has an optimum growth temperature of around 37℃. Lactobacillus acidophilus occurs naturally in the human and animal gastrointestinal tract and mouth, urinary tract, it can also be found and applicated in various fermented foods. Lactobacillus acidophilus has a super strong ability to be survive in the gastro-acid (low pH), bile salt, enzyme digestion pressure condition, for colonizing in the human epithelial cell lines and human intestinal mucus, as well as it has the typical character of the Lactic Acid Bacteria characters, to produce Lactic Acid, Acetic Acid, and natural anti-microbial like acidolin, acidophilin, aetocidon etc to inhibit the other bacteria grow up. It can grow in both oxygen residual or not, can grow better at the aerobic condition, even can survive in the Nitrogen Dioxide condition, its metabolism can digest the monosaccharides, it can also creates lactase, which is an enzyme that converts lactose (milk sugar) into a simple sugar.
