Tungsten rhenium alloy bar is consist of 85-99% tungsten with balanced commonly nickel and iron or copper. The alloys are made by liquid-phase sintering to give a structure consisting of almost pure tungsten particles in a matrix of the alloy elements. Tungsten Heavy Alloys, with densities between 15.8 and 18.75 g/cm3, represent the heaviest materials generally available to the engineer. It has excellent radiation resistance, thermal and electric conductivities, corrosion resistance and machinable.
Tungsten rhenium bar is play important role in manufacturing of collimator for nuclear medicine, nuclear research, geologging and homeland security. These materials provide reliable protection against X-rays and gamma radiation.
Application:
