Carbon carrier developed by Xinsen Carbon Industry can reach the performance of similar products in the world, with high activity, large specific surface area (2000-3000M2) and abundant mesoporous volume, 2-5 nm. Medium and large pore volume accounts for more than 50% of the total pore volume) and ultra-pure characteristics, carbon content > 99%, ash > 0.5%, suitable for catalyst and catalyst carrier (Pd, Ru, Rh, Pt), precious metal recovery. It has been applied in dozens of research institutes and manufacturers in China.
The application of activated carbon on catalysts is as follows:
(1) Isomerization of vegetable oils (e.g. cottonseed oil, linseed oil, rapeseed oil, etc.) with nickel-carbon catalyst, from non-conjugated oils to conjugated forms.
(2) Hydrogenation, dehydrogenation and dehydroaromatization, cyclization and isomerization: Activated carbon supported on palladium or platinum can play such a catalytic role.
(3) Polymerization of olefins at low pressure can be achieved by using activated carbon containing nickel, cobalt or their oxides as catalyst.
(4) Activated carbon containing zinc acetate was used as catalyst to synthesize vinyl acetate from acetylene and acetic acid in vinylon production.
(5) Activated carbon containing palladium is used as catalyst for rosin reprocessing to produce disproportionated rosin and hydrogenated rosin.
(6) Vinyl chloride is synthesized from acetylene and hydrogen chloride using activated carbon containing mercury dichloride as catalyst.
