Cold drawn process is that we draw big diameter pipe into smaller one. And the finished pipe is called cold drawn pipe. In contrast to cold drawn pipe, it is hot expanded pipe, whose production process is to expand small diameter pipe into bigger one.

Steel grade for cold drawn pipes can be carbon, alloy and stainless steel.

Precise cold drawn pipes technique have been widely used in production of Coal mine single hydraulic prop cylinder and hydraulic cylinder of engineering plant. Because previous machining on cylinder is not only time-consuming and laborious, but also a waste of materials and energy. 1.What is the difference between cold-drawn oil cylinder pipe and cold rolling cylinder pipe?

First of all, the processing equipment and technology of the two kinds of pipes are different. Finishing tubes are rolled by a multi-roll mill, and cold-drawn tubes are generally drawn by a chain-type drawing machine or a hydraulic drawing machine. Generally, fine-rolled pipes are thin and small in size, while cold-drawn pipes can be included from large to small in size, and the range of wall thickness is also large.

2.What are the characteristics of oil cylinder pipe?

The residual compressive stress on the surface layer of oil cylinder pipe is helpful to seal the tiny cracks on the surface and hinder the expansion of erosion.
