Nonprotein nitrogen feed refers to urea, biuret and some amine salt. They are all simple chemical synthesis of nitrogen compounds, is unable to provide energy. According to characteristics of rumen metabolism of ruminants, its nutrition function mainly as nitrogen source of rumen microbial protein synthesis, thus play a role of protein nutrition, saving the protein feed.
