Flange Washers also be known as "Flange Bolting Washers", "Spring Washers", be used for the connection between flange and bolt. Its application equipment includes: Reactor, stirrer and heat exchanger flange bolts; Pumps, Fans, Centrifuge Flanges and Anchor Bolts; Power bus and copper alloy bolts;Pipe flange and valve flange bolt. Flange Washers are widely used in industries such as Petrochemical, Power, Metallurgy, Paper, Pharmaceuticals, Food Processing, etc.
Bolt flange joints are widely used in pressure vessel and pipe connections, and Leakage is the main failure mode of bolt flange connections. The main causes of leakage includes: differential thermal expansion/contraction, vibration, bolt creep and vibration. By installing flange washers in bolt flange joints, the elastic potential energy stored in the China Flange Bolting Washers can be converted into mechanical energy, to compensate the deformation of gasket and bolt, to ensure the bolt preload meets the sealing requirements, prevent leakage.
How do we choose the right flange washers?
Firstly, choose size of wholesale flange washers according to the bolt model & required load value. Then select the suitable raw material further according to the application environment. Material such as H13, 17-7PH, Inconel 718 (see the material document for details) are available in case of high temperature, cryogenic (low temperature) and anti-corrosion environment.
The common flange washers with high-torque & ultra-high-torque are listed in the table. In case the flange washer in the table cannot meet the work requirements, contact us (Tech@DiscSpringsMFG.com), our technical engineers will work closely with you to specify or design, and then manufacture the proper flange washer for your application.
Note:
1. If the discspringsmfg flange washer with too less load is selected by mistake, when the bolt preload is relaxed by 30%, the minimum preload required for sealing will not be provided. Its effect is equivalent to not using flange washers.
2. If the flange washer with too much load is selected by mistake, it will exceed the elastic limit of the gasket material, and cause the permanent deformation. Its effect is worse than not using flange washers.
