The post-treatment cycle (PEP 1) reduces the content of volatile extractables in the rubber component. The extractable formula of butyl stopper is very low and can be used with liquid, lyophilized or dry powder products that need to prevent oxygen or moisture penetration. The stopper coated with PTFE provides an inert barrier to minimize the interaction between the reagent and the container.
