Precautions for use:
The filter should be placed close to the sprue as far as possible, so as to block the floating sand in the sprue more.
The filter is recommended to be placed on the parting surface of the lap above and below the runner, so that the operation is simple and the effect is good. At this time, the runner in the direction of the water inlet is as far as possible in the upper box, which is conducive to the floating of inclusions and the resistance to the hot metal is reduced.
When the runner cannot be overlapped for some reason, the filter can be placed on the cross section of the runner or the inner runner, and the runner must be in the upper box at this time. Because the inclusions flow in the upper part of the metal liquid, the lower gap of the net does not affect the slag resistance, but when the cross-sectional area of the runner is too large or too wide, the filter will be deformed at high temperature, resulting in the lower gap is too large, affecting the slag blocking effect.
The placement of the filter in the pouring system should be fixed and firm to prevent the impact displacement of the metal liquid from affecting the slag blocking effect. Generally, the part of the filter screen that is pressed by molding sand is: the wet pouring system presses 15mm on each side, if it is buried in the runner, each side can be slightly smaller, and the dry type presses 20-30mm on each side
