It is necessary to clean the pipelines regularly, which can improve the flow in the pipeline and control corrosion. In this way, cleaning pipeline is for flow improvement and corrosion control, and batch different products. It can even inspect the line for integrity assurance and displace certain products. Cleaning the pipeline always use a product called pig. So the main purpose of pig launcher and receiver is to launch or receive pipeline pigs.

We can offer a variety of configurations. It includes horizontal, vertical or inclined, from a simple pig launcher and receiver to a complete skid with all valves and associated piping. Each design complies with material specifications to meet the customer’s specific application.

The pig launcher is generally the same diameter as the pipeline to be cleaned. And the front of the device equips with a flange cover (for ball loading) and an air inlet. Its rear end connects with the pipeline. Therefore, it can weld or flanged on the pipeline (with reducer), and the length depends on the size of the pig.

The pig receiver is similar to the pig launcher, and it set a vent valve at the front (above). And it can release pressure in the pipeline after receiving the ball. In addition, its lower part has a sewage outlet, which can eliminate the sundries and effusion in the front of the pig.
