Chemical composition
Marshmallow seeds contain crude protein, fatty oil, and amino acids. It is rich in unsaturated fatty acids which are essential for human body. It contains 18 kinds of amino acids, with the highest content of glutamic acid among the non-essential amino acids. In addition, it contains a variety of mineral elements, as well as a variety of trace elements required by the human body. The roots contain polysaccharides and tannin components.
Plant properties
A perennial herb, often cultivated as a 2-year-old, with a plant height of about 2.5-3 m and an erect stem.
Pharmacological effects
