When charging an electric vehicle, you can usually choose to charge it at a charging station, parking lot, community, garage, etc.
There are four main modes of electric vehicle charging:
Mode 1: The combination method is single-head charging gun + cable + ordinary CEE plug connected to single-phase mains
Mode 2 adds an ICCB controller to Mode 1
Mode 3: The combination method is double-headed charging gun + cable + charging pile connected to single-phase power or three-phase power
Mode 4: The combination method is charging gun + cable + charging pile connected to DC
Car charging in different modes requires the selection of charging cables of different specifications. The main basis is to select the corresponding cable according to the current output in different charging modes.
Charging mode 1 uses 10A and 16A current, and the corresponding cable selects OMG 3*1.5 square cable, OMG 3*2.5 square cable
Charging mode 2 rated current 10A/16A use OMG 3*2.5+2*0.75 cable, rated current 16A/32A use OMG 3*4.0+2*0.75 cable
The common output currents of charging mode 3 are 16A, 32A, three-phase 32A, three-phase 63A, three-phase 125A, that is, the corresponding charging cables can be selected from OMG 3*4.0+2*0.75 cable, OMG 3*6.0+ 2*0.75 cable, OMG 5*6.0+2*0.75 cable, OMG 5*16+2*0.75 cable, OMG 5*35+2*0.75 cable.
Charging mode 4 is DC charging, which has obvious advantages such as high charging current and fast charging speed. Common output currents are 80A, 125A, 200A, and 250A. The corresponding charging cable can be selected from Omega 2*20+25+2*4.0 +6*0.75 cable, OMG 2*35+25+2*4.0+6*0.75 cable, OMG 2*50+25+2*4.0+6*0.75 cable, OMG 2*80+25 +2*4.0+6*0.75 cable.
When choosing cables, you need to pay attention to product softness, high and low temperature resistance, oil resistance, acid and alkali resistance, flame retardant properties, etc. It is more secure and safer to choose products with product certification.
