Steel truss is a steel structure, mainly composed of upper chord, lower chord, vertical bars and diagonal bars. The upper chord and lower chord are connected by vertical bars and diagonal bars to form a spatial grid structure. This structure has the advantages of high rigidity, high strength and light weight.

Steel trusses are widely used in steel structure engineering buildings. The main beams are usually installed on both sides of the structure, mainly for transverse support; vertical bars and diagonal bars are installed between the main beams, for transmitting loads; nodes are used to connect the main beams, vertical bars and diagonal bars, to ensure the continuity and rigidity of the overall structure. The cross-sectional shapes of steel trusses commonly used include I-shaped steel, box steel tubes and round steel tubes.
