Kingsun sponge titanium is mainly produced by magnesium reduction-distillation process. During the production process, its refining and purification is by vacuum distillation. The obtained product is loose and pore-like and looks like a sponge, hence the name. Titanium sponge is a primary product in the production of titanium metal.
