Colorless transparent liquid. It can be miscible with water, ether, methanol, acetone, chloroform, carbon tetrachloride, ethylene chloride, methyl acetate, ethyl acetate, acetamide solution and many unsaturated hydrocarbons, but cannot be miscible with saturated hydrocarbons.
