The 1756-EN2T bridge has various functions like providing support for messaging, distributed I/O, and tags. It encapsulates messages within standard TCP/IP protocol. ControlNet and DeviceNet network protocols allow it to share a common application layer.
The 1756-EN2T is a ControlLogix Communication adapter that supports Ethernet I/P protocol. This module is a single slot module which may be installed to any slot of a ControlLogix chassis. It has One (1) RJ45 port that is used to interface with Ethernet network.
