Carpenter CUSTOM 465‌ is a high-performance stainless steel alloy developed by Carpenter Technology Corporation in the United States. It is a high-quality smelted martensitic age-hardening steel with high strength, excellent fracture toughness and resistance to stress corrosion cracking. Carpenter CUSTOM 465 stainless steel is regarded as an improved material for alloy steel parts, which can replace products that currently require cadmium or chrome plating, and can also replace parts made of 15Cr-5Ni or Custom630 (17Cr-4Ni) PH, 17-4PH stainless steel, thereby providing higher strength, smaller size and lighter weight.
