Material properties of AlCoCrFeNi2.1
1. High tensile plasticity
In some studies, a near-total dense AlCoCrFeNi2.1 sample was obtained by adjusting the process parameters of laser powder bed fusing LPBF, and the microstructure of the remelted AlCoCrFeNi2.1 sample presented a regular eutectic layer composed of nanoscale face-centered cubic (FCC) phase and B2 phase, of which FCC phase accounted for a high proportion. The ultimate tensile strength (UTS -1518 MPa) and yield strength (YS -1235 MPa) of the remelted sample were increased by 54% and 130% respectively, and the plasticity was reasonable.
2. High ductility
AlCoCrFeNi2.1 has a nano-precipitate-strengthened biphasic heterostructure, which achieves an excellent combination of high strength and excellent ductility.
3. High tensile strength
Tensile tests show that AlCoCrFeNi2.1 EHEA has a uniform FCC(L12)/BCC(B2) layered microstructure, and the as-cast AlCoCrFeNi2.1 alloy has an excellent combination of high strength and high ductility. Figure 1 shows that the ultimate tensile stress is 1100±50MPa, and the ductility is 18±2%. When the engineering stress-strain curve (blue line) is converted into the true stress-strain curve (red line), the ultimate tensile stress and ductility are 1351 MPa and 15.4%, respectively.
