PU Timing Belts

Polyurethane is a good choice for making timing belts utilized in various power transmission systems and roller conveyor systems. PU timing belts are preferred by many in the industry due to their relatively simple cleaning and maintenance. PU timing belts are well-suited for precise and crucial applications across diverse industries such as aerospace, healthcare, motion control, manufacturing, packaging, telecommunications, robotics, consumer products and more. 

Materials of PU Timing Belts

Polyurethane is ZZR’s preferred material for timing belts. Polyurethane covers a broad array of thermoplastic elastomers, each designed for particular applications.

PU timing belts are made from high-quality thermoplastic polyurethane, ensuring smooth operation and excellent resistance to abrasion. PU timing belts come with a variety of cord types, coatings, and/or cams to suit diverse needs.

There are two types of PU materials for belt body,  Cast Polyurethane (Molded) and Thermoplastic Polyurethane (Extruded).  Usually Cast PU is transparent, while Thermoplastic PU is white. Custom sizes, materials and color available upon request.

Cast PU before the molding is liquid, while Thermoplastic PU is solid before molding. The advantage is good temperature resistance, high strength. Wide range of hardness, can be very soft and extremely hard.

Special materials for applications demanding: low temperature, high temperature, antistatic properties or food compatibility (FDA) .
