Qiantai Chemical Catalase QT-CYM601 is a stable catalase produced through deep-tank fermentation using non-pathogenic microorganisms. Since certain dyes (e.g., reactive dyes) are highly sensitive to oxidizing agents, thorough removal of residual hydrogen peroxide from textiles and dye baths before dyeing is essential.
Product Properties
Composition: Bioactive enzyme
Appearance: Transparent brown liquid
pH Value: 5 ± 1
Solubility: Miscible with water at any ratio at room temperature
Features
Catalase QT-CYM601 is an industrial-grade product not for human consumption.
Used for bioscouring after oxygen bleaching, removing residual hydrogen peroxide from textiles and processing environments before dyeing.
Ready-to-use; requires no dilution.
Highly specific: Decomposes H₂O₂ into water and oxygen. Compatible with most surfactants.
Advantages
Water Saving: Bioscouring requires only one cold rinse (or zero rinse) and can proceed in the same bath as dyeing.
Time Efficiency: Process completes in 10–20 minutes.
Energy Reduction: No heating required; short workflow lowers power consumption.
Safety: Effectively eliminates H₂O₂ without damaging dyes or textiles in a simple, controllable process.
Eco-Friendly: Decomposes H₂O₂ into natural components (water/oxygen), avoiding harmful byproducts (e.g., sulfates/nitrates).
Instructions
(For batch equipment: yarn dyeing machines, jet dyeing machines, etc.)
Drain spent bleaching liquor.
Perform one cold rinse, or add cold water directly to achieve dyeing bath ratio.
Adjust pH to 6–8; maintain temperature at 20–60°C. Add 0.05–0.1 g/L Catalase QT-CYM601 (increase to 0.5 g/L for continuous equipment or time-sensitive processes). Overdosing poses no risk.
Run for 10–20 minutes. Verify complete H₂O₂ decomposition (e.g., using Merck peroxide test strips).
Proceed with dyeing in the same bath.
Note: Optimal performance at pH 6–8 and 20–60°C. Efficacy decreases at H₂O₂ concentrations >1,000 ppm. Compatible with most surfactants and peroxide stabilizers.
Precautions
Conduct lab trials to determine optimal dosage.
Test compatibility before mixing with other finishing agents.
Packaging & Storage
Storage: Keep in cool (≤25°C), dry, ventilated area. Protect from sunlight and moisture.
Packaging: 25 kg polyethylene drum.
