TYPE G: BS 1363  British 3-pin  Rectangular blade plug

This plug adapter changes the shape of an appliance's plug so that can plug into a "Type G " British BS-1363 socket. The receptacle end of the adapter can accept any standard household plug type from any country, except the "Type M" South African SABS1661 (Old British BS-546 "Large") plug. The plug end is a "Type G " British BS-1363 13-amp plug. The adapter's live and neutral pins are 4 × 6 × 18 mm spaced 22mm apart, and the grounding pin is 4 × 8 × 23mm. The plug is polarized and grounded, but not fused.

The Type G electrical plug is a British three-pin rectangular blade plug that has a protective fuse inside to protect cords from high-current circuits. Type G outlets generally include safety switches.

The Type G plug is commonly known as the 13-amp plug, and technically known as the BS 1363 (British 13 A/230-240 V 50 Hz earthed and fused). For safety reasons, UK wiring regulations require home sockets to have shutters over the live and neutral connections. These shutters are opened by the insertion of the longer earth pin. The shutters also help prevent the use of incompatible plugs made to other standards. It is sometimes possible to open the shutters with a screwdriver in order to insert Type C or other plugs, but this is not advised, as such plugs will not have a fuse.

Compatibility：
This travel plug adapter is compatible with "Type G" British BS-1363 sockets. This is the current British standard used in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Hong Kong and many former British colonies. "Type G" sockets are intentionally incompatible with all other socket types.

How it's used:

Attach a plug adapter to the power cord of any electrical appliance which is already compatible with the voltage being supplied by the socket. The adapter changes the shape and configuration of the electrical contacts, allowing you to plug into a different kind of socket.

Or, if you prefer to think of it this way, plug the adapter into an electrical socket to enable the socket to accept almost any worldwide household plug (as long as the appliance is already compatible with the voltage being supplied by the socket.) Adapters aren't built for permanent installation though, and it's not a good idea to leave the adapter pl ed into the socket indefinitely. They can remain pl ed in for long periods of time, but they're not intended to be permanently installed.

Caution:

1. It does not perform voltage step-up or step-down conversion between 125V and 250V;
2. When use, please check and ensure your electronics apparatus can work with the local voltage;
3. You may use this product when the indicatore of the common charger shows it adapts 100V-240V;
4. For your children safety, please keep this product properly when it is not in use.
