Hammer unions for sour gas service are manufactured in accordance to Standard MR-01-75 of the National Association of Corrosion Engineers and API Spec 16C. Marks in three-lug nuts and colors of hammer union help to identify different pressure ratings. All hammer union parts of the same figure number, size and pressure rating are interchangeable, end connections of hammer unions are available with line pipe or tubing threads, butt weld, or non-pressure seal style.
