About student remote
The IR117 handset is designed for easy use with multiple choice questions (A, B, C, D, E, and F answer options), true/false questions, and yes/no questions. A red LED indicates the option button is pressed, the remote is working.
The IR117 handset also has an “Instant Response” button (it has the icon of a hand with a raised index finger) that can be used for Jeopardy style games and competitions.
The infrared handset requires a line of site from the handset to the receiver. Classrooms or meeting rooms with pillars or obstructions should consider using a radio frequency based system.
Handsets are interchangeable among students. If a student forgets a handset in another classroom, a spare handset can be quickly reset to the number assigned to that student.
