Independent controls for each band
Operating two bands simultaneously is very simple with Icom's symmetric layout with a wide LCD display showing both band settings in an easy to read side by side format. The vehicle transceiver provides separate tuning, volume, squelch knobs and function buttons the left and right side bands. Also, listen to both bands independently through separate left and right band audio jacks.

The controller with the 3.5m (11.5') separation cable is an easy to install two pieces configuration. This configuration offers the flexibility of mounting the controller while placing the main unit in an outof-the-way location without any additional cost. Microphone jacks are mounted both on the controller and main unit of the radio!
