1.Visual/Dimension Test
Reference standard:EIA-364-18
Purpose:This test determines if the connector exhibit obvious defects that would affect test results or if a test has exposed obvious physical defects by visual examination and dimensional inspection
2. Mating and Unmating force test
Reference standard::EIA-364-13
Purpose:This test determines the forces required to mate and unmate connectors.
Principle:Mate and unmate connectors with required speed,and record the values
3 Durability Test
Reference standard:EIA-364-09
Purpose:This test determines the effects caused by subjecting electrical connectors or contacts to the conditioning action of mating and unmating, simulating the expected life of the connectors.
Principle:Mate and unmate connectors with required speed for specified test cycles
4. Insulation Resistance Test
Reference standard:EIA-364-21
Purpose:This test determines the extent to which insulating properties are affected by deteriorating influences, such as heat, moisture, contamination, or loss of volatile materials
Principle:Measuring the resistance offered by the insulating members of a component part to an impressed direct voltage tending to produce a leakage current through or on the surface of these members
Test equipment::
5. Withstanding Voltage Test
Reference standard:EIA-364-20
Purpose:This test determines whether insulating materials and spacings in the component parts are adequate.
Principle: The test consists of the application of a voltage higher than rated voltage for a specific time between mutually insulated portions of a connector or between insulated portions and ground. Observing connectors whether has discharge
6. Contact Resistance Test
Reference standard:EIA-364-06/EIA-364-23
Purpose:this test determines the contact resistance value
Principle:Measuring the resistance of mated connector contacts attached to lengths of wire by measuring the voltage drop across the contacts while they are carrying a specified current.
7. Vibration Test
Reference standard:EIA-364-28
Purpose:This test determines the ability of connectors to withstand specified severities of Vibration.
8. Mechanical Shock Test
Reference standard:EIA-364-27
Purpose:This test determines the ability of connectors and connectors assemblies when subjected to shocks such as those that may be expected as a result of rough handing, transportation and operational conditions.
9. Thermal Shock Test
Reference standard:EIA-364-32
Purpose:This test determines the resistance of connectors to exposure at extremes of high and low temperatures and to the shock of alternate exposure to these extremes, simulating the worst probable conditions of storage, transportation and application.
10. Humidity Test
Reference standard:EIA-364-31
Purpose:This test determines the ability of connector as they are influenced by the effects of high humidity and heat.
Principle:This is an accelerated environmental test, accomplished by the continuous exposure of the connectors to high relative humidity at various temperature.
11. Temperature Life Test
Reference standard:EIA-364-17
Purpose:This test determines the ability of connectors to withstanding elevated temperature
12. Salt Spray Test
Reference standard:EIA-364-26
Purpose:This test assesses the effects of a controlled salt-laden atmosphere on connector components, finishes, and mechanisms and permit electrical readings to be taken after exposure when specified.
13. Mixed Flowing Gas Test
Reference standard:EIA-364-65
Purpose:This test determine the reaction of plated or unplated surfaces when exposed to different concentrations of flowing gas mixtures.
14.Cable Flexing Test
Reference standard:EIA-364-41
Purpose:This test determine the effectiveness of circular jacketed cable to plug seal to withstand strain under repeated alternating cable-flexing stresses as experienced in use with cable strain-relief design connectors.
15.Temperature Rise Versus Current Test
Reference standard::EIA-364-70
Purpose:This test determine the temperature rise while specified current through connectors
